Mobile Roaming Charges in Croatia to Go

Good news for mobile phone-using tourists in Croatia with the news that legislation abolishing roaming charges is expected to go through European parliament…
From December 2015 roaming charges whilst using a mobile phone abroad, including in Croatia, will be abolished. With calls becoming cheaper for foreign visitors in Croatia, some predict that locals may bear the brunt as they raise domestic calls to pay for the change.
The new legislation, which may put an end to tourists returning home from Croatia with large phone bills, is expected to be rubber stamped by the EU on 3 April. The new law will mean mobile operators will no longer be able to charge travellers to the European Union’s 28 member states extra for calls, texts and internet use, reports the Guardian.
