The Croatian edition of Forbes magazine has just released its Rich List for 2014 in its latest April issue. The Croatian Forbes ranks the top 100 wealthiest Croats who have a combined total wealth this year of 12.4 billion kuna (1.8 billion euros). There has been no change in the top three this year, with number one spot again belonging to Ivica Todoric, owner of Croatia’s largest privately owned food firm Agrokor, while food, tourism, tobacco, banking and sugar tycoons make up the rest of the top 10…
Forbes Rich List – Croatia – Top 3
1. Ivica Todorić – worth: 6.5 billion kuna (850 million EUR)
Ivica Todorić is the richest Croat in the land thanks to his Agrokor firm which owns Croatia’s largest supermarket chain Konzum and food brands Belje, Jamnica, Ledo, Jana, PIK and Zvijezda.
2. Lukšić Family
The Lukšić family, who settled in Chile, are in the mining, brewing and banking business around the world. In Croatia they own the Plava Laguna resort and the Adriatic luxury hotels. Luksic’s Croatian operation is run by Davor Lukšić, the 30-year-old grandson of the Lukšić empire creator Andronico Lukšić.
3. Emil Tedeschi
Emil Tedeschi is the major owner of food and nutrition company Atlantic grupa. He is also a part-time DJ and close friend of current Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanović.
