Croatia have beaten Germany for the services of talented Hamburg defender Armando Tikvić…

“I played for Germany, but soon as the call up for Croatia came there was no dillema. It is the dream of my parents, and mine,” said the 17-year-old left back.
Tikvić was given the name Armando after, Diego Armando Maradona, by his father Josip, reports daily 24sata. Born in Hamburg, Armando grew up in a Croatian speaking household and attended Croatian school in Hamburg also. Tikvić will be hoping for a call up one day from Croatia’s current coach Niko Kovač, who himself was born in Germany to Croatian parents.
