Agrokor Purchase 53% Stake in Mercator

Croatia’s largest privately owned company Agrokor have acquired Slovenian retail chain Mercator, Slovenian news agency STA announced on Thursday…
The report says that the Ivica Todorić-owned company, which operates Croatian largest supermarket chain Konzum, reached an agreement and purchased a 53% share in Mercator, at 86 euros per share. The acquisition means that Agrokor’s empire will grow to a 60,000 strong work force with annual revenues of close to 1 billion euros.
