Agrokor Plans 100% Takeover Bid of Mercator

Croatian food and retail giants Agrokor have published plans to take over the remaining 46% of shares in Slovenia retail chain Mercator after acquiring over 53% last week, reported Slovenian media…
Agrokor, which owns 53.12% of shares in Mercator will reportedly offer 86 euros per share to become outright owners of Slovenia’s biggest retail chain. Agrokor, which owns the Konzum supermarket chain, last week paid 172 million euros for 53.12% stake in Mercator, and now hopes to acquire the remaining shares, bringing the total cost to 324 million euros.
