New Liverpool signing Dejan Lovren was bought down to earth with a thud just days after signing a 25 million euro deal with the Merseyside giants…
Lovren is unable to join his new team-mates in America where they are currently on a pre-season tour after the US Embassy in London told the Croatia centre-back that he had to wait at least 10 days for a visa to enter the US. Daily Jutarnji list reports that Lovren was told at the embassy that it did not matter that he was a Liverpool player and that he would have to wait like everybody else.
“Unfortunately I could not get a visa straight away. Therefore I can not join my team-mates in the US. I am sad because of that,” Lovren said after hearing the news.
The former Southampton defender will train with Liverpool’s U-21 side as he awaits the return of Brendan Rogers and his side from the US next week.
