Tourist Won’t Forget Croatian Holiday in a Hurry After Lottery Win

A Slovenian tourist who visited the small coastal town of Omišalj on the island of Krk in Croatia will not be forgetting her holiday in a hurry…

The tourist, who wishes to remain anonymous, won 395,903.91 kuna (52,000 euros), after she purchased a ticket for the Eurojackpot lottery at a kiosk on the island.

“We saw a big poster advertising that we can play (eurojackpot) in Croatia. So we played at one kiosk on the island where we regularly went. We stopped at the kiosk before leaving and saw that a winning ticket with 5 numbers was sold there, so we checked our ticket. We still do not know what we will spend the money on. Clothes, a holiday….we will think of something,” the happy winner said, who is a regular holiday maker to Croatia.

If the lucky punter had picked the correct bonus number then she would have been leaving the country with around 30 million euros, but she is not thinking about that.

“This is nice enough, and we will continue playing,” she said.
