Who Pocketed the Most UEFA Cash – Croatia 21st

European Football’s governing body UEFA has published in its official gazette how much cash was given to member associations for youth development, with Croatia receiving 450,000 euros for the 2013/14 season…

The Croatian Football Federation was allocated 450,858 euros for its youth development programme, and put them in 21st place on the list of national associations which received the most. UEFA has strict guidelines how the money is spent in each federation and developement programmes need UEFA sign off. The money is to be divided amongst all first division clubs.

UEFA also published the amounts each club had received from Champions League and Europa League football last season, with NK Rijeka the club to profit the most. NK Rijeka, thanks to the four points they won in Europa League group stages last season, banked 1,785,540 euros of UEFA money (1.3 million euros for making the group stages, 400k for results and 85,540 from marketing). Dinamo Zagreb, who only ended up with one point in group play, pocketed 300,000 euros less than NK Rijeka.

UEFA distributed 1.3 billion euros to clubs and federations with Real Madrid collecting the most (57,414,000 million euros), followed by Paris SG (54,417,000) and Atletico Madrid (50,048,000), reported Jutarnji list.
