Croatian brothers Valent and Martin Sinković have become the first Men’s Double Sculls rowers to go under six minutes over 2,000 metres in the history of the sport…
The Sinković brothers broke the old World Record by 4 seconds with a time of 5:59.72 at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam to become the only rowers in history to go under six minutes. French pair Jean-Baptiste Macquet and Adrien Hardy previously held the record for eight years.
“How did it feel? It is phenomenal to be the World Record holder,” the older of the two, Valent said after the race.
The brothers are the World Champions in their discipline and were silver medal winners at the London Olympics.
