Croatia’s leading confectionery company Kraš have started exporting its products to South Korea, and currently about to send a shipment to Japan, the Zagreb-based company said on Monday …
Kraš, which was founded in 1911 and is second largest Croatian exporter of food, said that its Kiki chewy lollies were now available on shelves in Korea, whilst its famous Napolitanke biscuits would soon be available in Japan. Kraš said that doors opened to the lucrative Asian markets after the company appeared at a number of international fairs.
“Nearly 50% of Kraš revenue is from foreign markets, which include countries in the region, the EU and overseas. The highest growth markets for us are Saudi Arabia, USA, Canada and Australia. There has been 12% growth in the first 9 months of this year to those markets. Last year we started exporting to North Africa, and now to Korea and Japan it continues our efforts in finding a position in the new, propulsive markets where consumer habits are changing fast,” said CEO Damir Bulić.
