Motorway Travel Just Got Cheaper for Dubrovnik Locals

The Mayor of the popular southern Dalmatian tourist city of Dubrovnik, Andro Vlahušić, announced on Friday that locals in the city from today will pay half price when travelling on the nation’s motorways…
The Dubrovnik City Council are to subsides 50% of toll charges on the motorway from Dubrovnik to Split, Zadar, Šibenik and Rijeka starting today. Vlahušić says that it is planned to extend the ‘discount’ to all motorway exits in Croatia, and from next year introduce subsidies for local students using public buses.
“Regardless where you study, the Dubrovnik City Council will subsidies 50% of the cost of the bus tickets, and also we are planning to introduce a new measure in sponsoring the city’s sportspeople so we cover 50% of their costs,” said the Mayor on Friday.
