Darijo Srna Buys 20 Tonnes of Mandarins from Croatia for the Kids in Ukraine

The right-back, renowned for having a big heart, purchased 20 tonnes of mandarins in his home town of Metković in Croatia, an area famous for mandarins, and sent them to the Ukraine. More than 20,000 school kids will get to enjoy the fruit thanks to the Croatian. Srna has spent the last 11 years in Donetsk.
“As a kid in Croatia I went through some tough times when I needed help. It is very important at times like this that you have people around you who can help. I respect Donetsk very much. It is my city. A city which supported me for the last 11 years and I owe them for becoming the footballer I have become,” said Srna. (pic: FC Shakhtar Donetsk)
