Robert Prosinečki Tipped for Bosnia-Herzegovina Job

Former Croatia player and assistant coach Robert Prosinečki is in the running to take over the vacant Bosnia and Herzegovina coaching position…
The Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are on the search for a new coach after Safet Sušić was sacked this week following a 3-0 loss at the hands of Israel.
Prosinečki, who was assistant manager of the Croatia national football team between 2006 and 2010, told media this week that he would be interested in sitting down with them to talk about the position. Prosinečki, who was linked last month with the Azerbaijan job, is currently a free agent after leaving his post at Turkish club Kayserispor last season.
Legendary Croatia coach Miroslav Ćiro Blažević, who guided Prosinečki and Croatia to 3rd at the 1998 World Cup in France, thinks the former Real Madrid and Barcelona midfielder is the answer for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I called Sarajevo and said: ‘Only Robert Prosinečki can save you, he is the best coach in this region!,” said Blažević, who says he has an emotional connection with the Bosnian team because he himself has had a spell coaching them. Blažević is also a Bosnian Croat.
Former player Mehmed Baždarević has also been tipped as a serious candidate for the job.
