Croatia has ranked 36th in the world for ease of paying business taxes, according to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the World Bank Group…
The PWC / World Bank report ranked 189 countries worldwide according to their levels of bureaucracy for paying and filing taxes, as well as the tax costs and compliance burden for a medium-sized manufacturer.
Croatian companies spend an average of 208 hours a year complying with the tax regime compared to 218 hours in Germany, and just 55 hours in Luxembourg, the Paying Taxes 2015 report said. The average for the region was 176 hours. When it came to number of tax payments, in Croatia the total was 19, compared to just 4 in Norway.
The Top 10 nations for ease of paying taxes were; Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (first equal), Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Ireland, Macedonia, Bahrain, Canada and Oman.
