Air Croatia Delay Launch Again

Low-cost startup airline Air Croatia, which was set to make its inaugural flight next week, has postponed its launch for the second time…
Air Croatia were due to launch in June this year, but ‘technical issues’ and a ‘lack of demand’ saw the launch deferred. Now, just days away from their scheduled launch on 18 December, the startup airline has announced that they will now launch in March 2015.
“The interest for flights before March 1 is really low and 80% of our bookings are after this date, which is why we have postponed until March 1, in order not to lose too much money during January and February by flying empty planes”, Air Croatia said in a statement to Ex-YU Aviation news.
“Those few booked before March 1 will of course receive a full refund and two free tickets for the first flights in March so nobody will be affected,” the airline confirmed.
Air Croatia were to commence its five times weekly flights from Zagreb to Rome (Fiumicino) and Prague on 18 December. More flights to Milan (Malpensa), Düsseldorf, Helsinki (Vantaa), Bucharest (Otopeni), and Stockholm (Arlanda) are planned.
