Over 3,000 Croats Think They Have The X Factor

More than 3,000 wannabe stars have applied for the popular television music competition The X Factor, which is coming to Croatia this spring…
Applications close on 27 January and then the search begins to uncover a new music star from the region. Pre-auditions will be held in Split on 5 February and in Zagreb on 7 & 8 February. Candidates for the show will also be selected from Belgrade, Podgorica, Skopje, Banja Luka, Sarajevo and Novi Sad. Candidates must be over 14 years of age to enter.
Created by Simon Cowell in the early 2000’s, the show is held in dozens of countries around the world from Australia to Vietnam. The X Factor has discovered some big names in the music world, such as Leona Lewis and One Direction. The Croatian version on RTL television will be broadcast into more than 18 million homes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, making it the biggest entertainment project in the region in 2015.
