UEFA Suspend Dinamo Zagreb Midfielder for 4 Months

Husejinović joined the Croatian champions in January 2013 from Sarajevo after almost signing for CSKA Sofia a month earlier. The Bulgarians claimed that they had done a deal with the midfielder and after he reneged and went to Dinamo Zagreb they filed a claim with UEFA.
This week UEFA upheld the claim and suspended Husejinović, who disputes the claim, from football for four moths.
“At the end of December CSKA contacted me and we agreed that I would go to Bulgaria, but I insisted that they pay Sarajevo the transfer fee. I signed pre-contract and the club had a certain time to pay Sarajevo. That never happened, CSKA never intended to pay Sarajevo. Dinamo then contacted me and we quickly agreed terms and I left for Zagreb, thinking I would not have any problems with the Bulgarians,” Husejinović said on Dinamo’s official website.
The four-month suspension has come as a shock to the 3-capped international.
“It is very difficult for me and I am shocked by the decision. I have a feeling that everything is against me, first I had two serious injuries, and now this, but as they say: ‘what does not kill you makes you stronger’. I always look at the positives,” a disappointed Husejinović commented.
