[VIDEO] Records Fall at International Rubik’s Cube Champs in Croatia

Records have tumbled at the Osijek Open Rubik’s Cube international competition held recently in Croatia…
Over 30 competitors from Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia gathered in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek, and although the world record was not broken, a number of Croatian records did fall. The overall winner was Hungarian Hunor Bózsing, whose average time per solve time on a 3×3×3 Rubik’s Cube was 9.47 seconds. Bózsing also recorded a time of 7.87 seconds for single time on a 3×3×3 Rubik’s Cube.
The current world record for single time on a 3×3×3 Rubik’s Cube was set by Mats Valk of the Netherlands in March 2013 with a time of 5.55 seconds at the Zonhoven Open in Belgium.
Dominik Vidaković had earlier set a Croatian record for average time per solve time on a 3×3×3 Rubik’s Cube with a time of 10.7 seconds. Nearly all Croatian records were broken at the Osijek Open, including the time for 3×3, 3×3 with feet, 2×2, 4×4, 5×5, 6×6, Square-1, Skewb, Megaminx, and Pyraminx. The compeition also featured blindfold solving, and solving in the least number of moves.
