Croatia’s number one tennis player Marin Čilić, who has yet to play a single match in 2015, has been named in Croatia’s Davis Cup side to face Serbia in a fortnight…
Croatia play Serbia in the Serbian city of Kraljevo in the World Group first round tie from 6 – 8 March and on Tuesday coach Željko Krajan named his four, including Čilić who has been out of the game with a shoulder injury.
“We know the situation with Marin’s injury, but we hope that he will be able to help us in Kraljevo,” said Krajan.
Besides Čilić, Croatia’s line-up includes Borna Ćorić (84th in the world), Mate Delić (158th) and Marin Draganja (22nd in doubles). World Number 23 and winner of the recent Delray Beach Open Ivo Karlović has retired from the national team.
The winner will face the winner of the Argentina v Brazil tie.
