One of the largest water centres in continental Croatia will open its doors to visitors on the first day of spring…
Aquae Vivae will open to the public on 21 March in the northern Croatian village of Krapinske Toplice. More than 20 million euros have been invested in the centre, which will feature six pools, slides, saunas, an ice room and a number of other attractions over 18,000 square meters on two levels.
The new water centre has been built on the site of a former well-known thermal pool complex in Krapinske Toplice, an area in continental Croatia which has a long tradition with thermal water centres. The six pools at the new centre, which includes one outdoor and five indoor, will have a capacity for 1,200 people and will include a wave, relaxation, children’s and dive pool, which will be the only one of its type in Croatia.
Thermal pools, popular for those seeking recuperation or relaxing, with a temperature of 41 degrees are expected to be popular with tourists in the region. Restaurants and cafes also are on site at the centre. (photo / aquae vivae)
