The Japanese ambassador to Croatia Masaru Tsuji has joined Zagreb’s Mayor Milan Bandic and the president of the Croatian-Japanese Society Ivan Slade in planting 20 japanese cheery blossoms at Lake Bundek in the Croatian capital to signify the bond between the two nations.
Next year, when the cheery blossoms bloom, they will symbolically mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Republic of Croatia.
The ceremony today in the Croatian capital was held in conjunction with the support Japan Tobacco International in Croatia, the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian-Japanese cultural and economic development society.
