Norway have named their squad to play Croatia in a Euro 2016 qualifier in Zagreb next weekend, with one of the most promising teenagers in the game likely to start at Maksimir stadium…
16-year-old Real Madrid wunderkind Martin Ødegaard looks likely to start against Croatia at Maksimir stadium on 28 March.
Ødegaard become the youngest player to feature in Norway’s first division aged 15 and was signed by Real Madrid in January this year. Named in Real Madrid’s Champions League squad he is tipped to be on the verge of his debut, which would make him the youngest player ever to appear in the competition.
Ødegaard made his international debut against the United Arab Emirates on 27 August 2014, becoming the youngest debutant for the senior team at the age of 15 years and 253 days. On 13 October 2014, he became the youngest player to feature in a qualifying match for the UEFA European Championship.
