Iconic Croatian Cinema Celebrates 90 Years With Free Tickets All Day

One of Zagreb’s iconic movie theaters, and protected cultural heritage and national treasure of Croatia, is to celebrate its 90th birthday next week…
Kino Europa will celebrate 90 years since it first opened its doors on 8 April 2015 by treating the public to free screenings all day. At 6pm in the main theatre there will be a screening of the documentary ’90 years of Kino Europa’, whilst at 8pm the 1988 Italian classic ‘Cinema paradiso’ will be shown. In the Müller theatre a host of new productions will be shown all day.
Entry to all screenings on 8 April will be free, but due to the capacity of the cinema tickets must be collected prior at the ticket office.
Kino Europa was commissioned by the wealthy Zagreb-based Müller family and built by architect Srećko Florshütz. The aim was to make the most beautiful, important and modern movie theater in this region.
