There has been a 42% increase in post arriving into Croatia from China, according to data from Croatia’s national postal operator, and the leader in the postal services market in the country, Hrvatska pošta (Croatian Post)…
The rise in online shopping in Croatia has had an effect on the amount of post entering the country, with a an increase of 70% in the number of packages arriving from overseas. In 2014 there were 42% more letters and packages from China than there was the year prior.
Croatian Post expect to enter the E-Commerce Interconnect Programme (ECIP) by the end of the year. The ECIP programme aims to establish a fully interconnected network for shipping e-commerce products across borders and aims to provide the same shopping and delivery experience when buying online from retailers in other countries as they would expect when buying from domestic retailers.
Customers in Croatia can expect cheaper prices for shipping services in Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, as well as quicker delivery times as a result.
