Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb have signed international defender Gordon Schildenfeld on a 3-year deal, the club announced on its official website…
The 30-year-old centre back, who has been capped by Croatia 22 times, will join Dinamo Zagreb in the summer from Panathinaikos, where he was playing on loan from Dynamo Moscow.
“I am very happy that things turned out like this. For a long while now contact between people from Dinamo and myself had been going on and I knew straight away that I wanted to come back so it was easy to negotiate,” said Schildenfeld, who spent a season at Dinamo Zagreb in 2007.
Dinamo Zagreb’s coach Zoran Mamić says Schildenfeld will bring a wealth of experience to the club.
“Schildenfeld is an experienced defender who is well-known to everyone. I am happy that we will have him back at the club in the summer. He will definitely help the club achieve even better results and his manner in the dressing room and off the pitch will be an example to the number of young players we have,” he said.
