The Israeli Cuisine Week was opened by Israel’s Ambassador to Croatia, Zina Kalay Kleitman, at a function at Zagreb’s Sheraton Hotel on Thursday night …
Kleitman welcomed those attendance before introducing special guest of this year’s ‘Israeli Cuisine Week’ – ‘MasterChef’ Israel winner Chef Avi Levy. Levy, who has opened 3 restaurants in Israel since his ‘Masterchef’ win, and his team prepared a mixture of traditional dishes with other delights with influences from all over the world for over 100 guests at the Sheraton’s King Tomislav restaurant.
Veal in raisin sauce, chicken stuffed with strawberries, crepes with honey, pastry cigars filled with meat, hummus, fried cauliflower and spicy falafel with chickpea paste were just some of the delicacies on offer last night as Israeli Cuisine Week was officially opened.
Israeli Cuisine Week will be held from 15-21 May at Sheraton Zagreb Hotel.
