The second international Festival Taste the Mediterranean – good food, good health, good life – will be held in the Dalmatian town of Šibenik next week from 28-31 May…
The Festival Taste the Mediterranean is a unique event aiming to promote the Mediterranean Diet, in particular food, culture, traditions, products and lifestyle developed during the course of the centuries along the coasts of this magic sea in the heart of Europe.
Croatia, together with Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Morocco and Cyprus, has been included on UNESCO’s representative list of countries whose Mediterranean Diet is recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Festival Taste the Mediterranean, both a cultural and a gourmet event, will present the different aspects of the Mediterranean Diet, through a number of workshops, round tables, culinary presentations, tastings and other events. International Food & Beverage professionals, chefs, food producers, nutritionists, journalists, food writers, foodies and all those who love the Mediterranean will gather in Šibenik for the festival. Culinary seminars and cooking presentations will be held on the stage of the recently renovated Saint Michael fortress in Šibenik.
The Festival Taste the Mediterranean is held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Commission for UNESCO and the City of Šibenik. Click here to check out the festival’s programme.
