Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović has met with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Thursday…
Before having a discussion the pair exchanged gifts, with Grabar Kitarović gifting the Pope among other things a Croatian football shirt, with his name and the number 9 on the back, reports HRT. Croatia’s President invited Pope Francis to visit Croatia, but Grabar Kitarović said that a visit was unlikely this year or next.
Grabar-Kitarović, who is at the Holy See for a 2-day visit, was at the Pontifical Croatian College of St. Jerome for Croatian students in Rome yesterday where she delivered a speech on the topic of ‘Women in Politics’.
Grabar-Kitarović will also hold bilateral talks with Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin today.
