Two one megawatt solar power plants are being built side by side in the village of Zlatar Bistrica in the Krapina-Zagorje County in northwestern Croatia. When the plant is operational, it will be the largest solar power plant in Croatia…
The value of investment in Zlatar Bistrica is close to 3 million euros with the return on investment expected in eight to ten years. Each plant will produce about 1,500 megawatt hours per year. The energy produced will be sold to the Croatian Energy Market Operator – HROTE.
The new investment in the economic zone in Zlatar Bistrica has pleased the local council, with the Solida plant paying a fee to the local council for every kilowatt-hour of energy produced. All work on the construction of the power plants and related facilities should be finished by May next year, when the plant is also expected to be put into operation, reports HRT.
