August to End with Heat Wave

It has been a cracker of a summer in Croatia this year…
Apart from the odd day or two of rain and cooler temperatures, Croatia has basked in a glorious summer this year. Temperatures in July were 7 degrees higher than the monthly average and it seems we are not over yet with the heat.
Another heat wave will hit as August counts down its last days, according to met site Crometeo.
Plus 38°C on the way
Wednesday will see the start the of the latest heat wave with sunshine and hot temperatures dominating the Adriatic coast. Temperatures are expected to hit a maximum of 33°C today, and it is just going to get hotter.
This weekend temperatures are forecast to hit 38°C on parts of the Dalmatian coast, the met portal says, with Sunday being the peak of the wave. Even continental parts of the country will pass 30°C this weekend. Proper summer weather is expected for all of next week as we head into September.
So, make the most of the fantastic weather if you are lucky enough to be on the coast.
