UEFA: Croatia Appeal One-Point Deduction

Croatia have appealed against a one-point deduction after a swastika was embedded on to the Poljud stadium pitch when they took on Italy in a Euro 2016 qualifier in June, UEFA reported on Friday…
The appeal will be heard later this month. Until then Croatia will remain at the top of Group H on goal difference, level on 15 points with Italy, following the Italians 1-0 win in Malta and Croatia’s 0-0 draw draw with Azerbaijan in Baku on Thursday.
Croatia face Norway, who were 1-0 winners in Bulgaria last night, on Sunday. Norway are now only two points behind Croatia. The top 2 teams qualify for Euro 2016 in France.
