The first privately run coworking space in Dalmatia is changing the way self-employed persons, entrepreneurs, and digital nomads work by the Adriatic…
On a tree-lined street of the residential neighborhood of Meje in Split, there is small revolution happening. A Portuguese-American husband and wife team is telling people to forget noisy cafes, kitchen tables, and bars as places to work. Instead they are offering people with location-independent work a place to be comfortable and productive with all the amenities that they need to achieve their goals. This place is called CoWorking Split.
Coworking is the use of an office or other working environment by people who are self-employed or working for different employers, typically so as to share equipment, ideas, and knowledge. This is exactly what CoWorking Split does, offer the ability to rent desk space at daily, weekly or monthly intervals while members enjoy:
The highest internet speed available in Split
Comfortable desk chairs
Plentiful electrical outlets
Printer and scanner
12 desks
Meeting/skype area
High quality coffee and tea
A friendly, multi-lingual staff (English, Croatian, Italian & Portuguese)
A view of the sea
And all of this only 1-kilometer walk away from Diocletian’s Palace.
Co-founder Miguel David says, “We opened CoWorking Split to have a space where ourselves and others could be more productive than in the house, but still have the comfortable feeling of home.”
More than just a space, CoWorking Split provides a community atmosphere for its members and the opportunity for collaboration. With a mix of locals, expatriates and traveling foreigners CoWorking Split strives to bring everyone together, no matter where they are from or how long they are in Split. CoWorking Split also offers a wide range of events on topics from the technical, “Managing your cloud server”, to the fun, “Learning about Croatian wines”.
Co-founder Carly Petracco says, “Gone are the days that working for yourself means working by yourself. Join CoWorking Split and change the way you work.”
