Croatian Pair Design Costumes for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’

International success for a couple of young Croatian designers…
Croatian designers Mario Miše and Matija Čop were part of the costume team for Hollywood blockbuster “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2”.
“The costume department contacted Matija after seeing his work on the internet, then he got me involved in the project. That was about a year and a half ago,” Mario told portal Index.hr, adding that the pair had to keep it a secret what they were making.
For the film Miše designed a mask with the map of Capitol.
“I designed the headgear. First I modelled it in clay, then I cast it in plaster, made some touched it up, vacuumed it into plastic, and later cut out the floor plan of the city”, Mario described the process of making the mask.

The film, which Mario says he is yet to see, is the fourth and final installment in The Hunger Games film series, and the second of two films based on the novel Mockingjay, the final book in The Hunger Games trilogy. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman (in his final film role), and Donald Sutherland.
