One of the top attractions in Zagreb, The Museum of Illusions teamed up with UNICEF to create a ‘Museum of Reality’ for two days, offering visitors a unique experience with free admission…
Zagreb, 10 December 2015 – Museum of Reality, the first of its kind in the world, will open its doors on Monday, 14th December at 12 PM at the Museum of Illusions in Zagreb. During the two days of the exhibition, visitors will be presented with never-before-seen exhibits, offering a completely opposite experience to the world of illusions.
This interactive experience offers a different perspective of the world we live in and aims to inspire breaking down barriers of prejudice, leaving no one indifferent. Free admission to The Museum of Reality is part of UNICEF’s marking of its 69th birthday.
Virtual reality, optical illusions, installations and holograms are some of the “exhibits” that will be used to distance us from various preconceptions and reveal reality instead of illusions. In the Museum of Reality everyone will be able to experience what it feels like to “lose ground under your feet” due to a devastating earthquake, live in a refugee camp in the Middle East or “switch roles” with children living in different conditions.
Visitors to the Museum can also find out more on how UNICEF is helping the most disadvantaged children and actively engage in the Guardians of Childhood (Čuvari djetinjstva) programme to support the creation of a better, safer and fairer world for children.
The Museum of Reality will be opened by UNICEF Ambassadors Maja Vučić and Bojana Gregorić Vejzović, and visitors will be able to visit the Museum for two days: 14 December from 12 PM to 10 PM and 15 December from 9 AM to 10 PM, with free admission for all.
