A stream in the suburb of Srednjaci in the Croatian capital Zagreb turned green on Thursday as locals recognised Ireland’s biggest religious day of the year…
Ireland’s most recognised cultural and religious feast day, Saint Patrick’s Day, is celebrated worldwide on 17 March, and although most locals picked up on the connection when seeing the stream today, others were not so informed.
“It is this the drug companies? What are they putting in our water?” some commented as photos of the stream done the rounds on social media.
Over the last decade a number of festivities, including promotion of irish music, culture and food, have taken place in Zagreb in St. Patrick’s Day.
