The book’s foreword was written by Croatian Football Federation President Davor Šuker.
“Croatia has a long history of creative, intelligent and technically brilliant midfielders. During my international career I had the privilege to play with 3 magicians – Zvonimir Boban, Robert Prosinečki and Aljoša Asanović. I say that because Luka Modrić is a deserved in Croatian football. I know Zvonimir Boban is one of his idols and the two share a number of attributes – ball control, passing ability, vision and technical quality,” wrote Šuker, adding.
“It is great that for every Croatian to see one Croatian football playing a key role in one of the biggest clubs in the world. When we talk about Luka Modrić in Croatia, we don’t just talk only about football. We always talk about him as a good and down to earth person who is very humble. Those a rare qualities for a football superstar and says a lot about his character,” he said.
