Gymnast Marijo Možnik became the first Croatian to win a gold medal at a European Championships last year…
Today the Grand Prix Osijek 2016 gymnastics competition is going on, and European champion Možnik is expected to find himself in the final of the men’s High Bar on Sunday.
Besides tavelling and winning medals at competitions all over the world, Možnik is required to train for a number of hours everyday in what is one of the toughest disciplined sports. Marijo has still managed obtain a master’s degree in Physical Education and get a job as a research assistant at the Faculty of Kinesiology, where he completed his kinesiology doctoral studies.
Along with kinesiology, Marijo recently graduated with a sports management diploma from the College of Sports Management and is proof that with hard work and effort one can be successful at the academic level, without neglecting a professional sports career.
If that was not enough, Marijo still finds time to partake in a number of extreme sports, which he has a passion for and often you will see him taking part in humanitarian events and projects to help kids get into sport.
