After popping in Split, Primošten, Poreč and other locations on the Croatian coast and abroad, the capital Zagreb will get its first Steora solar smart bench today…
Young 20-year-old innovator Ivan Mrvoš is the man behind the smart benches, which apart from its Wi-Fi and charging capabilities, also provide local information, gather data, have air sensors and can display advertising.
Today the Croatian capital Zagreb will get its first one which will be located at the University of Zagreb opposite the Croatian National Theatre in downtown Zagreb. The bench is a gift to the students from the Women’s Lions Club Zrinjevac.
“The idea of the donation is just one of many that the Lions Club International have as part of its programme celebrating 100 years of the Lions Club. Funds for the donation were raised at the charity concert ‘La Primavera’, which was held in April this year at the Academy of Music, where soprano Antonella Malis performed,” Women’s Lions Club Zrinjevac told Jutarnji list.
Another smart bench is set to be placed next month at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. Ivan’s benches have also started taking on the international market and have been placed in recently in Montenegro, Sarajevo, Hong Kong and outside the European Parliament building in Strasbourg.
