A hashtag word or phrase that is mentioned more than others on Twitter is a ‘trending topic’ and this week the number one trending topic for Croatia-related Twitter for a while was the hashtag #GrowingUpCroatian. The hashtag was more popular than any others on Twitter on Monday as people took to Twitter to share some of their childhood quirks.
A common theme from abroad was having to deal with friends not knowing where Croatia was.
Other common themes included ‘Grandma’, gifts, food and the lingo.
