A record number of people are expected to take part in a simultaneously jump into the sea forming a domino effect from the waterfront of the Dalmatian city of Zadar this weekend…
On Saturday the 30th of July 2016 the 10th DM Millennium Jump will take place in Zadar. Organisers are expecting a record turnout and have invited all keen jumpers to register for jump on Zadar’s Narodni square from 19:00 – 23:00 through until Saturday’s jump. Around 500 jumpers registered in just the first four hours. The jump will start at 14:00 on Saturday.
The event, which is growing in stature each year, is believed to be the largest of its kind in the world. Last year around 3,000 people jumped off Zadar’s waterfront. Sponsors of the event are cosmetics and healthcare retail chain dm–drogerie markt, who provided free skin checks up on the waterfront during the day as well as other activities.
The jump will be followed on Saturday by a concert from TBF, as well as a cooking of the largest risotto on the Adriatic coast. The weather forecast is for ‘hot’ on Saturday.
Everyone in the area is invited to take part in the event and help create a new record of participants.
