Mashing organic, local food and unique Upper Town scenery, famed “mobile market” Mali plac s Tavana (Little Loft Market) tells another summer story – Little Picnic at Vranyczany’s Lea.
Once a week Vranyczany’s Lea on Zagreb’s Upper Town turns into a comfortable and refreshing summer oasis for locals and tourists with tempting gourmet-offerings. Presentation of small, local growers and food-tasting “at the source” gets a new dimension combined within relaxed, self-service picnic gathering. Little Picnic visitors now can really take their time exploring Upper Town nooks while casually enjoying interesting meals a midst Upper Town ambiance.
Little Picnic offers opportunities to learn about foods from various local regions and innovative, healthy ways to prepare a fresh meal, while taking a break on picnic blankets with a panoramic view of the city, refreshing with fruity and veggie cocktails, home-made wine, seasonal fruits, organic ice-cream and delicacies like raw-food cakes, goat cheese or nipping assorted nuts on the go.
Little Picnic’s gourmet focus is organically grown seasonal food from local farms.
Little Picnic will be Upper Town event every Wednesday afternoon (from 5 pm to 9 pm) until mid-September. In case of rain Little Picnic will be postponed, and Little Market will move to Branimir Centre for the day.
Event is organised by Mali plac s Tavana, and supported by Zagreb Tourist Board.
