Something new to check out in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek…
This month Osijek got itself a new tourist attraction – a cornfield labyrinth. The cornfield labyrinth is the brainchild of the association Creative Recreation, whose aim was to not only promote a healthy lifestyle and spending time outdoors in nature, but also to highlight the importance of organic farming and seeing the development of nature through the seasons.
The cornfield labyrinth, which is located just 10 minutes from the centre of Osijek on the left side of the Drava bank at Tvrđavica, offers a unique maze experience for both kids and grown ups.
There are a number of well known labyrinths around the world which are top-rated tourists attractions, such as Chartres Labyrinth in France and Hampton Court Palace in England.
The labyrinth is open from 17:00 to 20:00 weekdays, and in shifts during the weekend from 09:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 20:00. Admission is 10 kuna (1.30 euros) for children and 15 kuna (2 euros) for adults. For more details visit the official Facebook page.
