Traditional Croatian dolls in national costume will feature at this year’s World Doll Festival in Japan in October…
The 6th edition of the World Doll Festival will show this year about 1,500 dolls from 71 countries, all of them wearing the typical garment from their original countries. In between them will be 6 handmade dolls from Croatia, created especially for our festival. The different booths will contain tourist information about the countries also.
The event will be held from 28th until 30th October 2016, at Izutsu Yashiki (769-2901 Higashikagawa, Hiketa 2163, Japan).
This year the exhibition is devoted to Germany and will harbour dolls from Bayern, hand-made Nutcrackers, smokers from the Harz Mountains made out wood, Christmas pyramids, doll houses, etc.
The Embassy of Germany to Japan, the German House in Naruto City, and Naruto City Tourism Association are patrons of the event. The cultural programme will be completed with a performance of the 9th Symphony by Beethoven. The local restaurants will have a wide offer of international dishes.
