Croatian advertising agency Bruketa&Žinić have won an international creative advertising award ‘smallest wine label in the world’ campaign for a winery on the island of Brač…
“We just might have created the smallest wine label in the world,” said Bruketa&Žinić when they launched their “Label for the Frugal Man” on Stina Vino’s Bogondon, Godiment and Noda range of wines.
The tiny label, which was inspired from the stereotype that the people of Brač can be known to be ‘stingy’, has been awarded at the 23rd Golden Drum International Festival of Creativity in Ljubljana on Friday evening. “Label for the Frugal Man” won the award in the packaging design category. This year 1,215 projects from 26 countries entered the Golden Drum.
The ‘Label for the Frugal Man’ project was based on the brand strategy developed by the agency Brandoctor and focused on the frugal reputation of the islanders.
“People from the island of Brač have a reputation for being on the stingy side. It’s Brač’s poor, arid soil that taught the islanders never to waste a thing,” is how the advert starts off.
“Their labels just might be the smallest in the world. But they believe that big wines do not need big labels. Poor in soil, generous in spirit.”
The campaign ‘Malena and Klepetan’ by Imago Ogilvy advertising Croatian water brand Jana was the winner of the Grand Prix prize in the digital category.
