New Year’s Eve Guide – What’s On Around Croatia’s Major Cities

“Di si za Novu?” is a very famous question that circles around Croatia in this time of the year. So, to translate it, where will you be for New Year’s Eve?

The time has come to start thinking about it and not only where to go, but also what to eat, drink and what to wear.

If you are in Croatia are are not planning on staying in, here are some events going on around the country.

Zagreb

Zagreb will host Armin Van Buuren within Croatia Music Week, a winter version of a famous Ultra Festival. Famous Croatian pop singer Maja Šuput will sing in the Green Gold center.

Many Zagreb clubs will be celebrating this crazy night, including The Garden Brewery with Justin Robertson, Mark Broadbent and others, club Club with indie music, Boogaloo with techno floor and Harvey McKay, Vintage Industrial Bar with Kawasaki 3P, and Hypo Centar with Los Angeles NYE with R’n’B confusion.

Split

Petar Grašo and pop rock band Buđenje will welcome the New Year on Split’s Riva. For techno lovers, the Jungla club will hold a Techno Marathon with artists Kristina Lalic (BG), Skeptik, Marul, Marcellus, Level and others.

Dubrovnik

Fans of popular Croatian pop singers can choose to Radisson Blu Hotel for Nina Badrić, or head to Stradun for Doris Dragović and Jole.

Petar Grašo and the band Opća Opasnost will play the day before (30.December). Nightclub Revelin will have a full DJ program, dancers and live saxophone by Zac Sax.

Rijeka

Gibonni will be the main attraction in Rijeka with Belfast Food, En Face and Izet and Borgie. Conerts will be held on Rijeka’s main promenade Korzo.

Vatra

One of Croatia’s leading bands in recent years, Vatra, will be playing from 10 pm at Capuchin Square.

Zadar

Tomislav Bralić and Klapa Intrade will play after entertainment for the kids, followed by a concert from Ivan Zak on Narodni square.
