[PHOTO] 5-Star Resort Project on Island of Brač

A multi-million euro investment is set to see a 5-star resort built in the new tourist zone of Luke Bay located between Pučišća and Povlja on the island of Brač.
The 5-star resort will span over 170,000 square metres and have 700 beds. According to Poslovni.hr the resort is set to open up 145 jobs on the island.
“Last week the Commission for strategic environmental impact assessment had a meeting, and soon the urban plan will go to a public hearing. So far 50 million kuna has been invested in the project has so far, with the total value rising to 580 million kuna”, local council head Marino Kaštelan told Poslovni.hr.
If everything goes according to plan, Kaštelan says that the that project could be complete in 5 years time.
It is not the only thing happening in the area on the island. A new part of Pučišća port is being built, worth 13 million kuna, and an extension to the runway at Brač Airport is going on, meaning from May planes carrying up to 150 passenegrs will be able to land, Kaštelan added
