Serbia Threatens Croatia

The boss of the Serbian group in charge of asset succession of the former Yugoslavia, Oliver Antic, has come out in the media and said that Serbia will report Croatia to the European Union and other institutes, because of assets they say Croatia has failed to return to Serbian banks and businesses.
Antic, who is also an advisor to the Serbian President, wants the assets which were listed in a succession agreement from 2001 returned.
“The EU and all other institutes we will have to write to because Croatia is not adhering to the agreement relating to returning private assets. Private assets are sacred in the west and in the EU,” said Antic.
Antic says that a huge amount of assets belonging to Serbian banks and companies that remained in Croatia after the split have not been returned, despite the 29 June 2001 Vienna agreement on succession issues.
