Combine Sailing & Yoga on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast

Sailing is probably the best way to see Croatia’s coast and its islands, and if you’re a yoga enthusiast, or would like to become one, this week might be your perfect summer holiday.
The sailboat will set sail on August 28th from Split on the Dalmatian coast, for a week called Joie de vivre, or the Joy of life – the name says it all.
The facilitator Nina Vukas, an internationally recognised Vinyasa yoga teacher and owner of Sangha yoga centre in Zagreb, has been organising yoga holidays in Croatia and all over the globe for almost a decade now, bringing people from all over the world to discover the beauty and still unspoiled nature of Croatia’s Adriatic coast.
Nina is a sailing enthusiast herself and has been sailing Croatia’s coast and islands, discovering hidden gems and less known spots for many years now, and the skipper, Borna Peraic, has been sailing the Adriatic for over a decade, so you can expect much local, insider information from them.
The sailboat will set sail on Saturday afternoon from a marina close to Split. Croatian islands of Brač, Hvar, Vis, Biševo and Korčula will be on the route, and these are some of Croatia’s most beautiful islands; home to historic towns, sleepy villages, pine tree forests and blue bays. Sailing greatly depends on the weather and wind conditions, and the full itinerary will be known closer to the trip.
Group hiking and trips on the islands will be organized whenever available, and there will be enough free time to explore.
Daily Vinyasa classes integrating meditation, breathing techniques and mindfully sequenced yoga postures are designed to heal, awaken and serve as an exploration of your body, mind and Soul. Vinyasa classes will be held mostly on shore, and meditation or pranayama (breathing exercises) on the sailboat.
If you would like to discover hidden bays, listen to the sounds of waves and wind against the sails, jump into the deep blues and gentle turquoise of the Adriatic sea, explore beautiful and still unspoiled Croatian islands, small villages and towns perched on hills, discover hidden bays, have a dinner in old konoba (traditional Dalmatian restaurant) and get gently rocked to sleep.
