Zagreb & Dubrovnik Airports Set New April Records

Zagreb and Dubrovnik Airports have both registered their strongest Aprils on record.
Zagreb Airport handled 240,168 passengers in April, the most in any April in its history. Last month’s number were 18.7% more than in April 2016.
Since 1 January 2017, Zagreb Airport has welcomed 756,168 passengers through its doors, up 6.3% from the same period last year. The new Zagreb terminal, which only opened last month, hopes to handle more than 3 million passengers in 2017.
A number of new connections will launch this summer to Zagreb, including a new Emirates flight to Dubai, and Croatia Airlines routes to Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo, and Bucharest.
Meanwhile, Dubrovnik Airport, which also opened recently after expansion, recorded its strongest ever April. Last month 143,912 passengers came through the doors, which was growth of a massive 52.1% compared to April 2016.
Since 1 January 2017 Dubrovnik Airport has handled 219,888 passengers, which is 26% more than the same period last year.
New connections to Dubrovnik on airlines such as Eurowings, Jet2.com, Monarch Airlines, easyJet, and Thomson Airways, means the airport is expecting to handle over 2 million passengers in 2017.
