“Mini Modric” Grabbing World Attention

Football officials and media in Croatia have already started to talk about Dinamo Zagreb’s “wunderkind” Alen Halilovic, and now the 16-year-old striker is grabbing media attention around the world, comparing him to Croatia’s Real Madrid star Luka Modric and even the great Lionel Messi.
“Even Lionel Messi did not appear as head-and-shoulders above everyone else at the same age,” writes football portal 101greatgoals, before going on to write “In fact it’s difficult to think of any player with such an accurate strike and ability to score from distance as Halilovic at this age. The absence of step-overs and show-boating is also impressive; aside from the odd nutmegs Halilovic keeps it simple and direct.”
Halilovic, who also strikes an uncanny resemblance to former Dinamo Zagreb star Modric with his diminutive physique and crop of blonde hair, is rumoured to have attracted the interests of Real Madrid and Chelsea FC.
